We live in a Universe governed by the Universal Laws. These laws are eternal and immutable, they are not subject to interpretation and there is no judgment or penalty for breaking these laws.
We can say that these laws are statements of conditions, which under certain circumstances have the same procedure and the same results.
Many people are not aware of these laws, but just like the Law of Gravity, they always operate and apply to everyone, regardless of our awareness of them.
We have free will to choose whether we are going to live in harmony with them or not, but we cannot just ignore them. If we stay in ignorance, we will violate them because we are programmed to violate the laws.
In order to live in harmony with the Universal Laws, we need to understand how they are governing our lives.
Once we apply them consciously, we can get control of the experiences, circumstances, and people that we attract into our lives.
How many Universal Laws are there?
These laws are not man-made. They are of universal nature and have been passed through generations through various spiritual teachers.
Doing a research, I came across many different numbers of the Universal Laws. It appears that nobody really knows how many laws are there.
According to the “Kybalion: A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Egypt and Greece”, originally published in 1908 by the persons under the pseudonym of “the Three Initiates”, there are 7 Universal Laws or Principles. Raymond Holliwell wrote about 11 truth principles for successful living in his book “Working with the Law” (2005). In their book The Light Shall Set You Free (1998) Dr. N. Milanovich and Dr. S. McCune wrote about 12 Universal Laws and 21 sub-laws, and according to Dick Sutphen’s book “Lighting the Light Within” (1987) there are 20 Universal Laws. I even came across 105 Universal Laws by researching the internet.
“My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength, and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.” ~Nikola Tesla
Now, I would like to explain how 12 Universal Laws govern our lives, so you can get insight into their operation. If you like what you read and you are interested in exploring and understanding these laws more deeply, come back to this site because I will be writing more about them in the next posts.
1 – THE LAW OF DIVINE ONENESS
Everything in the Universe is connected to everything else. The world doesn’t consist of separate individuals, things or events. We are all part of Universal Consciousness (unified field of intelligent energy that is a source of everything). Everything we think, believe, say or do affects everything else. We have to learn how to transmute negative thoughts, words, emotions, and actions into positive ones, so we can create a better world for others and ourselves.
2 – THE LAW OF VIBRATION
“If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” ~Nikola Tesla
Science shows us through quantum physics that everything is energy. Nothing rests, everything moves, vibrates and travels in circular patterns.
As we think and feel, our thoughts and emotions send out vibrations into the Universe. The distinction between different manifestations results from diverse degrees of vibration. We are constantly vibrating and broadcasting at different frequencies and we are always attracting to our lives circumstances and people that reaffirm our beliefs and our state of being.
In other words, our results are indicators of our vibration (how we think and how we feel) and if we want to change our results, we have to change our vibration first.
Everything that exists is identified by its own unique vibration frequency. Try to think of frequency as a state of being that you are in.
Your frequency is different to the frequency of other people and things and that is the reason why you appear to be separate from everything you can see around you.
However, it is possible to switch the frequency.
For instance, if you want to listen to a different radio program, you have to switch to another FM (frequency modulation) channel. By switching the channel, you set your radio at a different frequency, which receives different signals. The same applies to people; we transmit and receive signals at different frequencies.
There is another example. There are two guitars tuned the same. If you pluck the C string on guitar 1, you will activate the C string on guitar 2 and it will start to vibrate. It is because they are on the same vibration, on the same frequency, which leads to harmonic resonance.
The same rule applies to an opera singer who can sing a certain tone, which can resonate with the crystal glass’s frequency and shake the glass. That is because the sound of her voice vibrate the air molecules around the glass at its resonant frequency, which amplifies that frequency, causing the glass to start shaking.
3 – THE LAW OF ACTION
In order to manifest things on Earth, we must engage in actions that support our thoughts, emotions, and words. Action on the physical plane forms the links that connect all aspects of the energies working toward manifestation.
“Action is the bridge between the inner world and outer world.” ~ T. Harv Eker
While manifestation can be achieved in the fourth and fifth dimensions by thought and expressions of love, an action is required for manifestation to occur in the third dimension. As we raise our vibration state, we will be able to manifest things with the power of the mind, followed by love.
“Dimensions are not places or locations but the level of consciousness that vibrate at the certain rate. Higher we vibrate the more dimensions we consciously experience.” ~ Liara Covert
4 – THE LAW OF CORRESPONDENCE
Nothing in the universe exists separately or in isolation. Everything we say, do or believe affects everything else. All laws exist within this interrelatedness or correspondence.
There are three planes of existence –physical, mental, and spiritual. All changes in one plane affect all the other planes. When oneness is present, they are in harmony and agreement.
Each of us has unique characteristics, which constitute the basis of our essence. We develop perceptions of the world and then we tend to perceive the world in a way, which is consistent with our expectations, beliefs, and experiences. As result, we create our own experiences according to these perceptions.
Our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. There is a direct correspondence between our thoughts and emotions, and the way that we experience the external world. All events, circumstances, and people in our lives are actually manifestations of our inner world. Our outer world is a mirror of our inner world. Therefore, if we want to change something in our lives, we should first change our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. If we want to change the visible, we first have to change the invisible.
5 – THE LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT
Nothing happens by chance or outside Universal Laws. For every cause, there is an effect, and for every effect, there is a cause. “We reap what we have sown.” The energy we send out attracts similar energy and comes back to us multiplied.
The Law of Cause and Effect relates to our freedom of choice. Every thought that we think and every act that we perform has its impact on the events we experience. We have the ability to choose our outcomes and to master our behaviors in order to achieve desired results.
6 – THE LAW OF COMPENSATION
While the Law of Cause and Effect deals primarily with events, the Law of Compensation deals with the material and spiritual gains that we receive in life such as gifts, money, inheritances, friendships, and blessings.
Many of us do not receive these blessings because of our limiting beliefs that have a direct impact on the events in our lives. If we wish to master this law and receive abundance, we must break the poverty consciousness, which comes from our conditioning and past programming.
If we want to get more out of life, then we must give more with right thoughts, emotions, actions, and words every time we give a gift or perform a service for someone else.
We must be able to love and to give to ourselves first, as well as to be able to give to others.
The application of this law does not always mean that what we give is exactly what we will receive. Sometimes giving in one form, means that we will receive compensation in another form.
There is a twist to this law – the Law of Tenfold return. According to this law, once a person learns to give freely from the heart, the Universe returns the gift with a tenfold yield. This supports the premise that “It is better to give than to receive.”
7 – THE LAW OF ATTRACTION
Our thoughts, emotions, words, and actions are energies, and these energies attract like energies. We attract what we think about and what we feel strongly about. This law mirrors to the person that what is hidden within.
The Law of Attraction is based on the Law of Vibration. Our thoughts and emotions determine the level at which we vibrate. Our frequency creates a signal that is emitted outward. Once emitted, this signal begins to draw to it other things and people that are on that same frequency.
Once we master control over our mental and emotional bodies, we demonstrate more control over what happens in our lives.
If a person has not mastered the mental and emotional bodies and often acts unpredictably and negatively, the law returns to that person events and people that reside on the same level of discordance. In this state, many people feel helpless and victimized.
Controlling vibrations is the key to mastering the Law of Attraction. If we could learn to control our vibrations at all times and learn to operate on a higher frequency, then we could control the events and people that come into our lives.
8 – THE LAW OF PERPETUAL TRANSMUTATION OF ENERGY
The energy is constantly moving and transforming from one form to another.
The energy is flowing into our consciousness constantly, we transmute it into whatever we choose through our focus of attention.
Thoughts are forms of energy, which may shape the conditions of our lives. For example, if a person wants to enjoy abundance but does not feel worthy or is unable to visualize wealth, this goal is unlikely to be achieved.
We are responsible for many of the conditions of our lives and we have free will to change them. Since higher vibrations consume and transform lower ones, we can become alchemists of our lives, if we choose to do so.
We must understand that our thoughts and our beliefs do not represent reality. They are just our perceptions of reality. When we realize this, we are open to new understanding and to an appreciation of the diversity of people’s perceptions.
Change is all there is. We are either growing or dying. By resisting change, we resist growing and prevent learning and continual improvement and growth with the Universe.
“Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” ~ Albert Einstein
9 – THE LAW OF RELATIVITY
Everything in our life just is, until we compare it to something else. Everything is real by its relationship or comparison to something else. For example, light only exists because we compare it to dark. Hot does not exist unless we compare it to cold.
Nothing has any meaning, except for the meaning that we give it. It is all about how we look at a certain situation and what thoughts and perspective we choose to think about the situation. If we focus on the good, good things will come to us, but if we put our attention on bad, we will attract more bad things.
The law essentially reveals that in every moment of our existence, we are provided with choices. The ultimate goal is to choose that which is beneficial for advancement, thus creating a higher frequency within.
10 – THE LAW OF POLARITY
Everything is dual. Everything has its pair of opposites. Polarity is the difference between the two extremes of one thing. Two seeming opposites are compliments that differ only in degree. Opposites are only the two extremes of the same thing. All polarities are only different vibrations on the same continuum. One can be transmuted into the other.
We can change ourselves and we can even change others. We may do this in unconscious ways as we learn and experience new things or the same things in new ways, or we may use the law consciously to bring about change in others and ourselves.
The key to mastering the Law of Polarity is in our ability to stay balanced, focused, and detached from the distractions of the material world.
11 – THE LAW OF RHYTHM
Everything vibrates and moves to certain rhythms. Whenever something swings to the right, it must then swing to the left.
Many of the cycles in our lives and in nature occur in multiples of seven—7 days to the week, 7 notes to the scale, 7 rays of influence, etc. It has been said that human beings were designed by the Creator to live for twenty and one-half periods of 7 years each, or about 144 years. Our failure to do this is the result of our inability to live within the Laws of nature.
The key to transmuting the effects of the Law of Rhythm is through the strength of our will. By applying the will to manage reactions towards events in life, we actually can learn to detach emotionally from all experiences and stay balanced at all times. Our willpower allows us to master our mental and emotional states and to remain centered.
12 – THE LAW OF GENDER
The Law of Gender has two parts. The first part refers to the expression of yin and yang. Everything has its masculine and feminine principles. The law states that these two principles reside within all things, and through these principles, humanity is able to create.
Creation requires that we have balanced the yin and the yang, or the ability to dream dreams and bring them into reality. When we balance our masculine and feminine energies, we move to a state that aligns us with the Higher Self.
The second part of this law reveals that all things need gestational period. All seeds must germinate before sprouting up. When we plant a seed, we must water it and tend to it. Our ideas and goals work the same way. They also need time to sprout and grow. We must tend to them and if we do this correctly and have faith that when the time is right they will sprout and begin to grow, they will.
