Does Desire Cause Suffering?
Many spiritual teachers say that desire is the root of suffering. So, in order to stop suffering, we have to get rid of desire.
But even the desire to be free of desire is a desire, so it’s not actually possible to rid yourself of desire completely.
Why do We Have a Desire?
Desire is causing the expansion of the universe, so to not desire would be against the reason we chose to come here into physical existence.
When we have a desire, it immediately connects us to our higher self, but then we filter it through our beliefs, particularly our belief in lack. We believe that we can’t have what we desire. We believe in a lack of possibility, a lack of worthiness, lack of love, lack of things, and so on.
Desire is an emotional indication of your new idea. That idea holds a frequency and your higher self immediately matches that new frequency.
Thought has a vibration. If you think a thought that feels positive, it brings you closer to the vibration of your higher self and therefore your desire. If you think a thought that feels negative, it separates you further from your higher self and therefore your desire.
So now, there is a vibrational gap between your frequency and the frequency of your higher self.
What is Suffering?
Suffering is a distance you feel between the vibration of your higher self and your current vibration. The further away from your higher self you are, the greatest amount of suffering you experience.
The feeling we associate with desire is actually the feeling of resistance to our desire. What causes suffering is continuing to focus on what we don’t have or don’t want instead of focusing on what we do want.
So, the root of suffering is not a desire, but our belief that we can’t have what we desire.
OUR BELIEF IN LACK IS THE ROOT OF ALL SUFFERING.
Suffering is caused when we believe in something that is not true. When we believe in lack in any form, we contract and we suffer because, from the higher perspective, lack doesn’t exist. If lack would exist, it would feel good to believe that it exists, because it would be true.
All Possibilities Already Exist
From your higher-self perspective, all possible realities already exist. This is vibrational Universe and whenever you shift your frequency, you’re literally shifting realities.
Circumstances don’t define their own lack. We do.
Any time you define a lack in your experience, you start feeling contraction and anxiety.
You suffer because you believe there is a lack of some kind – either something is missing right now, either there was a lack in the past (I should take that opportunity) or lack in the future (if I don’t keep this job, I would lack money in the future), so you choose to play safe and keep doing the same thing, and experience the same reality.
There’s No Lack
There is only abundance, no lack.
From an absolute awareness point of view, all infinite possibilities simultaneously coexist and your consciousness has access to any potential configuration of creation.
THINGS LACK FROM VIEW, NOT FROM EXISTENCE.
Lack implies that something can actually disappear from being existent.
Everything exists right here, right now.
Realize that every time you suffer, you believe in lack. This is a chosen perspective that makes you feel out of alignment with your higher self.
You never actually lack anything. Whenever you perceive lack, your perception is out of alignment and therefore makes you feel bad. It’s up to you to change your perspectives and to remember that there’s the only abundance.
If you’re able to tune into an abundance of your being and maintain a high vibrational state regardless of physical circumstances, suddenly opportunities will arise and you will shift yourself into another physical reality that already has things that you desire.
Thank you!
